About Ramnath Kovind
Ramnath Kovind was born on October 1, 1945, in a small village Parbhal of Tehsil Darrappur in Kanpur Deht of Uttar Pradesh.

Ramnath Kovind has earlier been the Chief Minister with the State President Dr. Laxmikant Bajpai.
He was also the national president of the BJP Dalit Front and President of All India Koli Samaj and National Spokesperson of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Former Prime Minister Morarji Desai,
After becoming the Janata Party government in 1977, he was the personal secretary of the then Prime Minister Morarji Desai. Later he joined BJP. They have fought elections twice from the party ticket, but unfortunately both of them had to face defeat. He became the personal secretary of Finance Minister Morarji Desai after the formation of the Janata Party government in June 1975 after the Emergency.

Active MP-
In 1994, Kovind was elected MP from Rajya Sabha from Uttar Pradesh. Between 1994 and 2006, he was a Rajya Sabha MP for 12 years. He has also been a member of several parliamentary committees.
In 12 years of parliament, Kovind raised many issues related to education. It is said that during the stay of the lawyer, Kovind fought a legal battle for the poor Dalits free of cost.
